Job Description

Title: Support Analyst (Trading Services)
Location: Remote or Toronto, ON (Hybrid, 1-4 days onsite/week for local candidates)
Duration: 6 months CTH
 
Mandate
The Sr. Trading Services System Support Analyst is accountable to the Senior Technology Officer for providing first line application and technical support for client’s Capital Markets Corp lines of business. 
As part of the first line support team, scope of responsibilities encompass but may be limited to providing application, development and adhoc maintenance support of the applications used by the lines of business (LOB). 
 
Accountabilities
Provide system support and administration in maintaining high performance, reliability, availability and operability of systems and environments.
  • Gain trust of trading desks by providing accurate and timely solutions in a fast paced environment by displaying the sense of urgency that is needed. 
  • Analyze and resolve performance problems and outages in a time sensitive and accurate manner. 
  • Use of decision and analysis skills to perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts. 
  • Participate or lead in implementations and recovery exercises to ensure business recovery and meet SLA requirement. 
  • Gain working knowledge of algorithmic trading practices.
