Administrative Assistant 1 3 months assignment (Possibility of extension and conversion) Atlanta, GA 30349 Onsite Shift Hrs: 2:30 PM to 11 PM (Training will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM initially)
Req Intake:
Responsible for checking drivers in and out and handling interactions with inbound delivery drivers and current on-site drivers.
Receives a pass-down from first shift and manages priorities for the second shift.
Runs SLA reports and makes internal adjustments to support outbound operations.
Communicates with carriers regarding truck pickups.
Handles email escalations, expedites orders, shift confirmations, and closes out orders.
Works with carriers and customers throughout the shift.
Uses Oracle for emails and SLA-related activities.
Completes 5S assignments, office cleanup, paperwork filing and other assigned tasks.
Provides a pass-down to the next shift regarding what transpired and any items to follow up on.
Occasional Saturdays, mainly during busy season, with Saturdays expected to be far and few between until between April and September.
Warehouse experience is a plus but office experience can also transfer to the role.
Must have Skills:
Minimum typing speed of 46 words per minute.
Strong multitasking skills.
Customer service skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
Basic to intermediate Excel skills.
Ability to sort, filter and pull reports in Excel.
Proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word.
Ability to keep a cool head under pressure.
Ability to adjust priorities between busy and slow periods.
Ability to deliver under pressure.
Nice to have skills:
Previous warehouse experience.
Familiarity with warehouse culture.
Customer service experience.
Description:

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining records management systems, and performing basic bookkeeping work.
Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements, and other documents.
File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and emails.
Prepare responses to correspondence containing routing inquiries. Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Entry level to 2 years experience required.
