Location: NYC Home Office Hybrid (TWR)
Duration: 9 months (potential extension)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Project Management Lead to support high-visibility workstreams across Compensation, Benefits, Change Management, and the broader HR organization.
This role will act as a structured execution partner, helping drive project coordination, governance, and cross-functional alignment—especially in support of the 2027 HRIS cutover of MacKay Shields into client.
The ideal candidate blends strategic insight with hands-on delivery excellence, operating as an integrator and facilitator who elevates team performance and ensures project success.

Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination & Governance
- Partner with HR leaders to plan, schedule, and monitor activities across key HR workstreams.
- Maintain project documentation, status reports, timelines, risk logs, and dashboards.
- Support governance routines including steering committees, working sessions, and checkpoints.
- Provide day-to-day coordination for Compensation and Benefits initiatives.
- Support benefit plan implementation, including coordination with HRIS, vendors (Alight, Empower), communications, and technology teams.
- Assist with analytics, documentation, design sessions, and stakeholder communications.
- Help build and execute change management deliverables such as stakeholder assessments, communications plans, training coordination, and readiness indicators.
- Collaborate with Change Management lead on tracking adoption and aligning with Communications and business partners.
- Track activities related to the MacKay Shields HRIS cutover: scheduling workshops, gathering requirements, and preparing key documentation.
- Act as a connector between HR, HRIS, technology, and business stakeholders.
- Support testing, data readiness, and issue tracking.
- Translate leadership directives into actionable workplans and status updates.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Step in hands-on to maintain project momentum and remove blockers.
- Prepare agendas, summaries, and presentation materials that facilitate coordinated communication.
- Support escalation processes and ensure decision-makers have timely information.
- Build strong trust-based partnerships across HR, Finance, Technology, and business units.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 3–5+ years of project/program management or related coordination experience.
- Proven experience with status reporting, workplans, and project trackers.
- Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUP and pivot tables preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Total Rewards programs, HRIS implementations, or large HR initiatives.
- Familiarity with change management practices (e.g., PROSCI, ADKAR).
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable balancing strategic support with hands-on execution.
