Job Description
Focus of Activity
• General Accounting, Fixed Assets management, Tax Accounting and Shareholder Governance Administration
• Must ensure that all journal entries and analysis are completed timely and accurately to support the financial close of the businesses
• Coordinate and monitors team members in assuring efficient and effective contributions to objectives
Major Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of the monthly close process for the execution of timely monthly, quarterly and annual close processes
• Prepare the accounts reconciliations, register accruals and AP/AR netting
• Manage the execution of accurate monthly, quarterly and annual Reporting in accordance with Standards and Practices, in liaison with the relevant
business of the organization
• Manage Bank Daybook reconciliation, including: Investigate Differences, Resolve Differences and Generate Bank Daybook Postings, resolving any
accounting discrepancies
• Perform administrator roles for all fixed assets created, control depreciation and fixed assets sales and retirement
• Manage intercompany accounting and reconciliation as well as Tax accounting
• Perform the Accounting, Expenses and Fixed Assets registration for the GBS activities
• Manage shareholder governance administration support (preparation for annual accounts filings, electronic certificates management, etc.)
Baseline requirements
• Experience in managing staff accountants and proficiency in financial and accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS)
• Experience in an accounting environment, preferable in multinational companies.
• Ability to motivate teams within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
• Ability to research issues and well-developed communication, management, and organizational skills
Education, Experience and Technical
Competencies
• Four years college with courses in accounting,
business, or equivalent experience
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or
related field preferred
• Accounting certified (preferable)
• Two to four (2 to 4) years accounting
Supervisor role experience and at least five (5)
years of experience in a manager role in a
corporate function
• Proficiency in the use of SAP 4/HANA
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications
• Proficient in English
• Nice to have: Spanish & German
