Location: Complete Remote

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear and concise insights to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Able to think strategically, recommending and applying the best approach to answer the research questions 
Position Overview
This role will join the User Research team for companies manufacturing products, reporting directly to the Director of User Research. Responsibilities for this position will cover research inquiries for our CAD product Inventor, partnering closely with Inventor product managers, XD, and engineering partners.
 
The ideal candidate should possess solid skills in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. They should be adept at executing user interviews or usability studies to gather deep insights into user needs and behaviors. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in designing and conducting surveys, analyzing data using statistical methods, and leveraging analytics tools to identify trends. The ability to translate research findings into actionable recommendations is crucial, ensuring that the Inventor product continually evolves to meet user expectations and industry standards.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Proactively plan and execute user research, ensuring transparency with key stakeholders.
  • Utilize a wide range of research methods, including semi-structured interviews, surveys, usability studies, and re-analysis of existing data.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to gather existing research and insights, informing research questions and collaborating on comprehensive research across the customer journey.
  • Communicate insights creatively to increase customer empathy within the organization.
 Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional research experience.
  • Proven track record of impactful qualitative and quantitative research influencing product strategy and development.
  • Proficiency in various research methods and ability to balance lean and rigorous approaches.
  • Strong collaboration skills with designers, product managers, and marketing teams.
  • Ability to execute effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Excellent communication skills for distilling complex ideas.
Education: 2 years minimum high school or college

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with interpreting customer sentiment metrics like Net Promoter Score and Product Satisfaction.
  • Experience with manufacturing or PLM products and services.
  • Familiarity with agile software development.
  • Experience with company products, specifically Fusion or Inventor.
