Title: Data Center Tech (Mechanical and Electrical) Duration: 12 months Location: Lithia Springs, Georgia Shift: 8-hour days, 40 hrs/week (8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Mon–Fri).
Job Description Employee will enter MEP equipment specifications into CMMS tooling. Data entries include Site, Room Location, Build ID, application and data entry of barcode Asset Tag ID , Manufacturer, Model, Serial Number and Tag Plate ID. The majority of equipment details exist within the tooling dropdown selection. If a new manufacturer/model of equipment is identified during the collection process, then an asset category will need to be assigned to the model. Asset collection performed by the YB employee will be reviewed by CMMS Engineer prior to upload into the CMMS system to ensure data accuracy. YB employees will also be required to perform equipment audits within legacy DCs. This will involve scanning existing asset tag IDs into CMMS audit tooling to validate the asset specifications as listed above and provide any updates required. If any new equipment is identified during the site audit, the equipment will be gathered as per process listed above.
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. MEP equipment identification — visually identify Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Safety equipment types.
2. CMMS/EAM data-entry accuracy — correct entry of Site, Location, Build ID, Asset Tag ID, Manufacturer, Model, Serial, Tag Plate ID via tooling.
3. Barcode scanning & audit — scan asset tags into audit tooling to validate and update existing records.
Years of Experience:
1+ years in asset collection, facilities/MEP, or CMMS data entry preferred; entry-level acceptable with strong equipment-ID aptitude.
Degree or Certification:
High school diploma; basic Windows and Excel; basic identification of Mechanical/Electrical/Fire Safety equipment.
