Location: Humacao, PR Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM) Pay Rate: $15.23 / Hourly
Job Pupose: Supports manufacturing operation by performing a variety of duties. Operates, troubleshoots, maintains area equipment, handles and verifies material. In the exercise of the duties, complies with applicable standards, guidelines and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Will lead employees to comply with production schedulers or pre-establish priorities.
Lead employees to follow companies, policies, observe and obey our safety rules.
Will apply our company policies equally to all employees.
Will help employees in any problem, situation, discomfort that they may have, bringing it to the attention of the department facilitator or helping them meet with the HR manager when necessary.
Prepare set-up of the different equipment including Milling machine
Ammonia Dissociator Operator
Turn on / off the system in case of emergency or power failure
Read pressure, temperature and flows to identify possible failures
Operate ammonia tanks
Handle emergencies following the "safety procedures"
Operate hardening, infiltration and tinning furnaces in the contact area
Give continuity to the production that turns the furnaces on / off and distribute the work to the bank area. Could provide instructions to production employees.
Document the readings of the critical parameters of the furnaces at the beginning of the shift.
Make the necessary adjustments and communicate with the responsible person.
Performs all the activities of preventive maintenance of the furnaces.
Keep the documentation history of the furnace including the changes of "thermocouples"
Dispose the waste from the work area.
Maintain inventory of graphite trays and advice on any need.
Performs the many duties associated with operation such as service, correction of errors, paperwork, setting up their work area, continuously bringing more work, etc.
Responsible for determining priorities to be finished that day in order to maintain the stock.
Assure total compliance with ISO Standards.
Will assure that employees maintain and leave working station clean at the end of the shift.
Perform any related duties assigned.
Rresponsibilities in EHS:
Knows and follows area and plant established Safety and Health procedures and regulations.
Maintains area good housekeeping.
Maintains safety and health equipment in good conditions.
Actively participates in EHS training and demonstrate competent skills based on received training.
Uses EHS practices and activities.
Actively participates in accident, injury and illness prevention activities:
Develops safety risk assessments and safe work practices.
Identify and corrects risks and unsafe conditions.
Investigate accidents, near misses and potential risks.
Actively participate providing suggestions to improve safety and Health Program.
Informs management about safety and health concerns, unsafe acts and participate in corrective actions.
Knows and implements regulatory compliance requirements applicable to his area.
Responsibilities in Quality:
Comply with quality policy
Know and follow regulatory compliance applicable to area of work
Ensuring that daily activities are in compliance with requirements
Report any quality situation to management
Actively participates on trainings and demonstrate knowledge
Provide suggestions or recommendations to improve area of work
Produce high quality products
Essential Requiremnets:
Mechanical knowledge and skills to work with preventive maintenance and set-ups.
Communication in Spanish - good written and verbal communication is very essential. Fluent- Spanish/English.
Have good work habits assistance.
Work with little supervision.
Will be responsible to observe all company’s policies and practices, all safety rules and use at all times the safety equipment as required.
Able to work different shifts and extended hours when required by management.
Ability to complete repetitive tasks
Good interpersonal skills
Skill in performing daily routine operations.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry but detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to meet completion of production goals in rigorous time limits.
Basic training in operation, EHS and Quality
Education and Experience:
High school diploma, 2 to 3 years Post High School and/or associate degree, is preferred.
2 years experience in similar manufacturing position.
