The Enhanced Client Verification Team is looking for a Sr Specialist, Software Development and Engineering with experience with application development in Java to work within a dynamic Agile Scrum Team to design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance Java based web services that support business critical integration projects. The role will require a strong work ethic, leadership, problem solving skills and the ability to partner with business and technologists across the organization. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading application teams to successfully building and supporting enterprise web applications. The role will require a high level of responsibility and accountability yet has a support structure necessary for development growth.
What you are good at:
- Implementation of new features ensuring they align with best practices, client standards and project goals.
- Writing well designed, clean, maintainable, testable, efficient code using Springboot framework.
- Optimizing existing systems for performance, scalability, resiliency, and security.
- Collaborating with various cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Analyzing and investigating problems with software solutions and document the results of their investigation(s).
- Perform maintenance of software and correct defects that have been identified during the maintenance process.
- Mentoring junior developers by sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure quality deliverables.
- Staying up to date with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
What you have:
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 4+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Java and related frameworks
- Extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and front-end/back-end integration (4+ years)
- knowledge in modern software development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and test automation (4+ years)
- Experience with writing Splunk queries and developing monitoring Dashboards within Splunk (3+ years)
- Experience with TDD practices and writing integration tests in Cucumber (4+ years)
- Experience working with Mongo and SQL Databases (2+ years)
- Experience developing Avro Kafka schemas for event streaming platforms (2+ years)
- In-Depth experience in an Agile tools and methodologies and tools (JIRA) – (4+years)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of ownership, and self-motivated with a passion for resolving technical problems
- Strong leadership skills
- Good communication and collaboration skills across team boundaries
