We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist with hands-on experience with Medicare/Medicaid billing and a strong understanding of the medical billing process.

Key Responsibilities of Medical Billing Specialist

• Process and submit accurate claims with primary focus on Medicare and Medicaid
• Review, itemize, and reconcile patient and insurance billing statements
• Research and resolve claim denials, underpayments, and billing discrepancies
• Investigate billing issues
• Maintain and streamline Medicare / Medicaid process for internal process

Required Qualifications for Medical Billing Specialist

• 2+ years of medical billing experience
• Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience of Medicare / Medicaid billing process
• Proven ability to research, investigate, and resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and underpayments within Medicare process and system
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding for billing purposes
