Controller

A rapidly expanding real estate organization is seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations, reporting, and performance management for a designated region of industrial properties. This role partners closely with leadership, property management, and accounting teams to ensure accuracy, transparency, and strong financial outcomes across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities: Controller
- Work closely with Property Accountants and the Property Accounting Manager to ensure accurate lease entry and maintenance of financial data
- Review monthly property performance using actual‑to‑budget comparisons and NOI analysis
- Prepare and review annual and quarterly property budgets, including expense planning and leasing assumptions
- Review and manage property‑level and corporate account reconciliations
- Oversee annual tenant recovery reconciliations and ensure accurate CAM billing
- Monitor accounts receivable delinquencies with regional leadership and assist with escalation as needed
- Collaborate with Accounting leadership to improve technology utilization and enhance reporting processes
- Partner with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate audit support
- Prepare meaningful reports analyzing portfolio performance for leadership
- Provide detailed property financial information to leadership as questions arise
- Support special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
- Demonstrate company values and adhere to internal processes and controls
Qualifications: Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred.
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard corporate systems.
