Bookkeeper

About the Role

A stable and long-standing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support daily accounting operations with a primary focus on accounts payable and invoice processing. This role also assists with payroll review/evaluation and provides general bookkeeping support to ensure accurate financial records.

Ideal for someone who thrives in a steady, well-established environment and enjoys being a core part of the accounting function. Manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all incoming invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
• Match, code, and enter AP transactions into the accounting system
• Support weekly/monthly AP payment runs and vendor communication
• Review payroll data for accuracy and assist with payroll processing as needed
• Reconcile accounts, maintain organized financial records, and support month-end closes
• Assist with reporting, audit support, and general administrative accounting tasks

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of bookkeeping or AP-focused accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of AP processing, invoice flow, and basic accounting principles
• Experience reviewing payroll or assisting with payroll functions
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills and reliability in a fast-paced environment
• Manufacturing experience a plus but not required
