CONTROLLER | $150,000 - $175,000

We’re partnering with a purpose-driven client seeking a seasoned Controller with UNANET expertise to join their leadership team. This is more than a typical accounting role – it’s a seat at the table. Our client is a well-established and steadily growing organization with deep roots in the government contracting space. They're looking for someone who can provide both strategic insight and hands-on leadership to help scale and strengthen their financial operations.

Controller Qualifications:

• ​Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting preferred); CPA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of financial compliance, reporting, and audit practices –public accounting experience is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with UNANET is required.
• Background in small to mid-sized government contracting (GovCon) environments is highly desirable.
• Comfortable presenting financials and insights directly to ownership or executive teams.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Lead core accounting functions, including oversight of AP and AR, while mentoring a small internal team.
• Partner with HR to support payroll processes (currently outsourced).
• Ensure financial compliance with government contract requirements – SCA experience is a strong plus.
• Manage monthly close, invoicing via UNANET, and prepare detailed financial reports for senior leadership.
• Contribute to audits, process improvement, and strategic planning conversations.
