Inventory Auditor | Remote with Travel | $60,000–$75,000
Location: Fully Remote (occasional in-office visits as needed) Eastern Time Zone preferred
Travel: Up to 65% National Travel
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Auditor to join a leading medical device manufacturing organization. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys autonomy, accuracy, and working in a dynamic environment that requires travel across multiple U.S. locations. The position is fully remote with occasional in-office collaboration and offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on inventory accuracy, process improvement, and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct inventory audits across multiple facilities to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Verify physical inventory counts against system records and identify variances, root causes, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with site leadership and accounting teams to implement best practices for inventory control and reconciliation.
- Analyze data trends and prepare audit summaries, variance reports, and recommendations for process improvements.
- Partner with finance and operations to ensure consistent valuation and reporting of inventory assets.
- Support cycle counting programs and assist with month-end and year-end inventory reconciliation processes.
- Maintain detailed audit documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Travel nationally (up to 65%) to conduct on-site audits and support plant teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of inventory auditing or inventory control experience in a medical device or manufacturing environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, advanced formulas required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 65% nationally.
- Accounting background or experience supporting financial inventory reporting strongly preferred.
- High attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
