Job Summary of the Cost accountant
The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for inventory valuation and tracking production costs, including labor, materials, and overhead. Supports standard cost preparation and assists with month-end close, inventory counts, and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant:

• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, and financial reports.

• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and standard cost system.

• Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate monthly cutoffs and financial reporting.

• Prepare annual cost standards and update commodity pricing as needed.

• Manage inventory cycle counts, scrap valuation, and cost rollups for new parts.

• Support overhead budgeting and variance analysis.

• Participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications of the Cost Accountant

- 6+ years of relevant experience
- Masters degree preferred
- Experience with Qlik

*Compensation: $110,000.00- $120,000.00
