Location: Barceloneta, PR
Pay Rate: $20.18 / Hourly
Shift: Available for all Shifts (1st, 2nd and 3rd)
Assignment Duration: 12-month assignment

Purpose: 
Perform routine analytical testing to support on site wastewater treatment operation and local/state requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Some data interpretation required.
• Coordinate testing of samples and input data into computer spreadsheets. 
• Document analysis and results of tests performed with a minimum of discrepancies.
• Provide preventive maintenance and standardize laboratory equipment.
• Participate in the implementation of special projects and method transfers.
• Actively participate in personnel training.
• Perform other related activities and distribute work when required.
• Collaborate with the area to meet operational needs.
• Ensure the operations comply with environmental, occupational health, and safety systems (EH&S) and promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences with a specialization in Chemistry.
• Experience in operating analytical equipment preferred (analytical balance, total carbon analyzer, spectrophotometer, pH meter).
• Experience with waste water testing is preferred but not required.
• Two years of experience in manufacturing or equivalent laboratory analytical work.
• Necessary experience in handling analytical instruments.
• Good Problem Solving skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer systems.
• Verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.
