Job Description

Job Title: Risk Professional
Location: Toronto, ON M5J 2V5 (Hybrid 3 days in office, Tuesday collab day)
Duration: 12+ Months (possibility of extension and Conversion)

Line of Business: Risk – Reputation Risk
 

Role Mandate:

  • A professional to assist with the design, implementation, resource assessment, conformance monitoring and training related to implementation Risk Framework Enhancements, with a focus on Reputation Risk, including policy management and supporting documents.

 

Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Assist with design, drafting, implementation, benchmarking and assessing resource needs for ongoing compliance.
  • Provide ongoing support of the policy documents, processes, reporting and governance structures implemented to support the RMF
  • Assist with enterprise wide risk framework enhancements driven by US regulatory audit findings
  • Managing testing enhancements, policy documentation, SOPs, and reporting on governance structures
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the team, providing guidance and actioning critical updates to existing internal structures
  • Recording meeting minutes, escalations, and tracking quantitative metrics

 

Must-Have Skills:

  • Extensive Risk experience within a financial institution 2-3 years min
  • Requires experience with Tier 1 Risk at a major financial institution
  • Previous reputation risk experience, compliance, governance
  • Attention to detail/Organizational skills
  • Time Management
  • Excellent communication skills [verbal and written]
  • Collaboration & team skills.

 

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Previous Reputation Risk experience

  • 1st round – Reporting Manager
  • 2nd Round – Hiring Manager
