Job Description

Position Title: Associate Quality Control
Location: Thousand Oaks, CA, 91320
Assignment Duration: 1 Year (Possible Extension)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Fully On-site

 
Position Summary:
The Associate Quality Control role is responsible for performing routine procedures and testing in support of the laboratory under general supervision, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and cGMPs/CFRs.
 
Background & Context:
  • Provide supplemental support for the team’s additional workload.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine laboratory procedures and analytical testing.
  • Document, compute, compile, interpret, and accurately enter data.
  • Maintain and operate specialized laboratory equipment.
  • Initiate and/or implement changes in controlled documents as necessary.
  • Comply with safety guidelines, cGMPs, and CFRs, including maintenance of training records, laboratory documentation, written procedures, building monitoring systems, and laboratory logbooks.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements related to routine job functions.
  • Demonstrate understanding of regulatory requirements, safety guidelines, and factors impacting compliance.
  • Appropriately escalate issues when required.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of relevant work or military experience,
      OR
    • Associate’s Degree with 6 months of relevant work or military experience.
    • Recent graduates or early-career professionals with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field are also encouraged to apply.
    • Hands-on QC GMP experience candidates without a degree are considered.
 
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong reliability, time management, and a collaborative attitude.
    • Comfortable using basic computer systems and documentation tools.
    • Familiarity with GMP principles is advantageous but not mandatory.
    • Ability to adhere to regulatory requirements, written procedures, and safety guidelines.
    • Strong analytical skills to evaluate data/documentation in line with company and regulatory guidelines.
    • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Detail-oriented with flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
    • Ability to recognize when to escalate issues appropriately.
