Job Title: Warehouse Specialist I
Duration: 5 months
Location: Highland Heights, OH 44143
Schedule: 9-5:30 PM or 8-4:30 PM, Mon-Fri
Position Summary:
This is an entry-level position working in a warehouse environment, responsible for ensuring that physical assets (e.g., office furniture, cube materials, printed materials, computer equipment) are received, refurbished, accounted for, and shipped in a secure and organized manner. Typically receives detailed instructions and works under direct supervision until most routine tasks are learned and an understanding of department processes is achieved.

Education and /or Experience:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- This position requires a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- This position requires compliance with companys driving standards and/or policies.
Required Skills & Preferred Experience:
- Warehouse Experience: 1+ years in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Material Handling: Picking materials from shelves and packing them into boxes.
- Equipment Operation: Experience with standard warehouse equipment, including:
- Tow Motors.
- Reach Trucks.
- Electric Pallet Jacks.
Technology Skills:
- Basic PC proficiency, Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Preferred Soft Skills:
- Strong reading and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and ability to collaborate as part of a team.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming and outgoing packages.
- Process pick lists provided by planners.
- Box up orders and prepare them for shipment (Note: No responsibility for FedEx or UPS shipping).
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Daily Interactions:
- 8 team members
- Truck drivers delivering or picking up products.
- Internal employees across department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with the receiving and dispatching of orders in accordance with schedules and quantities.
- Assists with daily operations, which could include the accurate fulfillment of orders, various shipping activities, staging logistics, organizing the warehouse, and ensuring the security of the assets.
- Follows standard departmental processes for shipping and receiving items, which includes the processing for outgoing "small jobs." May assist with the completion of punch list activities.
- Assists in the refurbishment of used office furniture.
- Typical work hours, but overtime hours may be required to complete work assignments when necessary.
- Occasional travel.
Knowledge and Skills / Abilities:
- Must be able and certified to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts).
- The ability to work with outsourced resources and/or services.
- Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with others.
- Time management, organizational and customer service skills.
- The ability to operate a PC with a working knowledge of associated software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, Asset Win Inventory Systems).
Physical requirements :
- Must be able to move and/or lift 85 lbs.
- Comfortable with standing, moving, and climbing ladders throughout the shift.
- May require prolonged, repetitive use of the upper extremities.
- Ability to work outdoors including ability to tolerate extreme weather conditions.
- Exposure to chemicals, equipment, noise, and other conditions typically found in a commercial facility is possible.
- Required to frequently walk, sit, bend, and kneel.
- Required to use hands and fingers to operate objects, tools, and controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to climb, balance, stoop, crouch, and crawl.
- Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Involves operating machinery and equipment.
- Involves frequent driving.
