Job Description

Position Title: Lab Technician
Work Location: Cincinnati, OH, USA, 45209
Assignment Duration: 12 months (possible extension)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
 
Position Summary
The Lab Technician performs laboratory testing and applies scientific education and experience to generate accurate results in compliance with good manufacturing practices, procedural requirements, and scientific principles.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance: Understands, implements, and maintains a safe work environment and adheres to good manufacturing practices, procedural requirements, and laboratory record-keeping standards.
  • Training Maintenance: Maintains training certificates as required for assigned job tasks.
  • Testing and Data Verification: Performs analytical or microbial test methods and verifies lab results to support product and material release with minimal error.
  • Data Interpretation: Interprets experimental data to ensure conformance with product and material specifications.
  • Exception Documentation: Initiates appropriate exception documents in accordance with procedural requirements.
  • Continuous Learning: Takes responsibility for acquiring knowledge and experience to support ongoing personal development.
  • Multitasking and Adaptability: Works effectively in multiple laboratory functional areas, performing a variety of laboratory techniques with minimal error and adapting to unforeseen obstacles to complete assignments.
  • Time Management: Budgets time effectively to carry out assigned tasks and takes initiative to participate in team activities and decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Makes suggestions for improvement based on scientific understanding and good manufacturing practices.
  • Team Collaboration: Works collaboratively to maintain a positive atmosphere, actively participates in the work structure, and fosters a constructive environment to achieve business objectives.
 
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum requirement); or
    • Associate’s Degree with at least 2 years of laboratory experience; or
    • High School Diploma with at least 5 years of directly related laboratory experience.
  • Skills:
    • Ability to manage time effectively and multitask based on completed training matrix.
    • Accountable to supervisors and assigned teams to meet broader business objectives.
