Job Description

Job Title: Sr Inventory Planner
Location: Seattle, WA 98134
Duration: 6 months’ Assignment
Shift/Hours: 40hours/week, M to F
Work Model: Hybrid, 3-4 days a week in the office
 
Summary:
  • This job contributes to client success by leading the development of assigned business units inventory forecasts, which drive the planning processes that support the attainment of sales forecasts and established customer service objectives. Models and acts in accordance with client guiding principles.
 Daily Responsibilities:
  • Sets inventory strategies and service level strategies; recommends optimum inventory levels and provides options to trade off cost vs. service level targets.
  • Partners with cross functional teams to create strategies and implement assortment plan changes that reduce waste and increase margin.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve store sales and implements appropriate inventory strategies through analysis, recommends store-focused solutions to meet store sales and financial targets.
  • Uses experience, insights, and data to anticipate trend shifts and puts preventative measures in place
  • Coordinates with others in response to multiple, competing demands to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
  • Understands necessary audience, including leaders, and tailor’s communication to promote collaborative responses
  • Gathers inputs from cross functional teams to craft collaborative messaging that accurately conveys complex situations
 Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Oracle BI.
  • O9 or IMS.
  • 4-year degree in supply chain, or related business field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain and planning environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal).
  • Knowledge of inventory planning, replenishment planning.
  • Store allocation processes.
  • Store supply replenishment store supply process.
  • Analytical knowledge.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate.
  • Quantitative and problem-solving skills.
  • Balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently.
  • Proficiency in ERS (Excel, PowerPoint) and has the ability to present.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments.
 Nice-to-Haves:
  • Experience with Nordstroms, retail, or large matrixed organizations
  • Progressive supply chain experience
  • Develop strategic plans
  • Project management skills
