Position Summary
The Patient Activation Administrative Specialist is a front-line team member responsible for welcoming patients as they arrive at the clinic and ensuring they are fully onboarded with client’s digital health tools. This role is key to enhancing the patient experience by ensuring patients are activated, educated, and confident in using their health tools.
As the first point of contact in the lobby, this specialist builds trust and offers support to patients who need assistance with activation.
Responsibilities

Patient Greeting & Onboarding: Welcome patients and ensure a positive first impression.

App Activation Support: Verify patient activation status; assist with setup and troubleshooting.

Patient Education: Explain app features and benefits; answer questions to encourage confident use.

Coordination & Escalation: Work with clinic staff and escalate technical issues to support teams.

Tracking & Feedback: Document activation progress and share patient feedback to improve digital engagement.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support clinic operations.
Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in a patient-facing role within a healthcare setting

Ability to communicate clearly, patiently, and empathetically with diverse patient populations

Strong organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Experience working in collaborative, diverse, feedback-driven teams

Proven adaptability: ability to persist through change, demonstrate forward-thinking under pressure, and take initiative on challenges

Proficiency in computer technology: typing, internet navigation, smartphone apps, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
