Position Summary
The Patient Activation Administrative Specialist is a front-line team member responsible for welcoming patients as they arrive at the clinic and ensuring they are fully onboarded with client’s digital health tools. This role enhances the patient experience by ensuring all patients are activated, educated, and confident in using their health tools.
As the first point of contact in the lobby, this specialist plays a key role in building trust and offering support to patients needing activation assistance.
Responsibilities

Patient Greeting & Onboarding: Welcome patients, ensure a positive first impression, and support a seamless clinic experience.

App Activation Support: Check activation status for each patient; assist with setup and troubleshooting as needed.

Patient Education: Explain app features and benefits; answer questions to encourage confident use.

Coordination & Escalation: Collaborate with clinic staff; escalate technical issues to appropriate support teams.

Tracking & Feedback: Document activation progress; share patient feedback to improve digital engagement efforts.

Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support clinic operations.
Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience in a patient-facing role within a healthcare setting

Strong communication skills: ability to interact clearly, patiently, and empathetically with diverse patient populations

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong written and verbal communication abilities

Experience working in collaborative, diverse, feedback-driven teams

Demonstrated adaptability and resilience: ability to persist through change and take initiative under pressure

Proficiency in computer technology: typing, internet navigation, smartphone applications, and using multiple software systems simultaneously
