Job Title: Hardware Engineer III
Duration: 12 months
Location: Redmond, WA, 98052
Summary:

• Software or Hardware engineer with 5+ years of experience and have good firmware and data analytics background with HW/prototype development background as well.

Familiar with common program languages and commands:

• Operating optical HW prototypes (including PCB boards, electrical flexes, cameras, LEDs)
• Operating on existing SW tools (running command line scripts and GUI, familiarity with on demand server)
• Basic SW/HW troubleshooting skills (basic understanding of command line scripts, practices like restarting HW etc)

Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
Must have strong software skills, an optics background is great, this role is very hands on.

• Operating hardware prototypes. (EE background is great)
• Software or Electrical engineer degree is a must

Good to have skills:     

• Hardware prototyping engineering background would be perfect
• Hardwar Test Engineer would be good.
• Mechanical Test engineer would likely not be a good fit

Qualifications:

Job description:

• Operating optical HW prototypes (including PCB boards, electrical flexes, cameras, LEDs)

• Train moderators on how to use prototype devices
• Ability to drive to and from client’s Campus to vendor sites for weekly checks on prototype devices

Typical Day in the Role:

• Team of about 15 people.
• Will visit user study vendor site and be responsible for completing checks, analyze data, trouble shoot problems. May also complete feature developments. There will be some light perioding travel to Belview, WA. On call and weekly visits to the vendor sites.
