Job Title: Accounts Payable Administrator
Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote)
Following the completion of onboarding and training, the candidate must be open to working extended hours, including weekends and potentially holidays, particularly during month-end close and other critical accounting periods.
Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end accounts payable process. This includes timely and accurate processing of both PO and non-PO invoices, maintaining financial records, and managing weekly payments through check, ACH, and wire transfers. The successful candidate will also handle invoice reconciliation, vendor communications, and contribute to month-end and year-end financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage weekly AP transactions, including PO/non-PO invoices and payment batches.
- Balance batches, file invoices, and obtain supervisor approval where needed.
- Reconcile invoices with receivers and vendor accounts; manage vendor statements.
- Investigate discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Administer P-card transactions and generate monthly and quarterly AP/Purchasing reports.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other departments during month-end and year-end close, including 1099 reporting.
- Maintain accurate expense records and foster positive vendor relationships.
- Uphold and promote safety procedures, housekeeping standards, and company policies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of prior experience in accounting or accounts payable.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Oracle.
- Ability to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Associate’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience in steel or manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS or SAP.
- Strong understanding of reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills.
