Title:Mechanical Engineer II : Packaging Engineer Duration : 5 months Location:Westborough, MA Shift:M-F 1st Shift
Job Description Services To Be Performed We're looking for an outstanding Packaging Engineer who combines superb technical and analytical capabilities with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D packaging designs and related analysis. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in packaging engineering suited for both prototype and production-level designs.
Required Skills: • Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Engineering • 3-5+ years of relevant work experience • Familiar with packaging base materials and systems • Strong SolidWorks and AutoCAD Design background. • Ability to review, write and implement packaging SOP’s and WI’s. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills: • Familiar with Transportation and Logistics Principles. Working knowledge of palletizing and trailer loading software suites such as TOPS, CAPES, and EasyCargo. • Familiar with Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) calculation methods. Working knowledge of Sustainability impact software such as Compass (Trayak). • Familiar with industry test standards (ISTA and ASTM).
