Qualifications: Education: B.S/B.A/M.S/PHD in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology.
Required Experience • B.S/B.S with minimum 7+ years’; Masters with 5+ years'; PHD with only 3-4 years' of relevant work experience in industry or academia.
Required laboratory skills/techniques: • Knowledge in molecular biology techniques, including RNA/DNA isolation and NGS library preparation. • Experience with RNA/DNA QC platforms such as the Fragment analyzer, Agilent Bioanalyzer or Tapestation. • Experience with RT-qPCR methods and platforms. • Familiarity with NGS platforms, specifically Illumina MiSeq and Novaseq. • Familiarity with NGS data QC and analysis workflows • Must be able to work up and troubleshoot new protocol methods centric to NGS platforms. • Must have good communication skills and be comfortable working in a team environment. • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. • Must have good organization and time management skills.
Preferred Experience and Skills: • Experience with liquid automation for sample RNA/DNA isolation and NGS library prep. • Experience with multi-omics NGS platforms, low sorted cell populations, and/or single-cell RNAseq. •Experience with NGS analysis data visualization software such as Cell Ranger or BioTuring. • Familiarity with computer software: Illumina BaseSpace, Omicsoft, TIBCO Spotfire, Graphpad Prism, Ingenuity Pathway Analysis, Geneious.

Responsibilities: This is a molecular biology position in the Molecular Profiling group, performing gene expression profiling using targeted and NGS technologies to support basic research, preclinical and development activities, and translational biomarker work. This high throughput lab requires an organized, highly motivated individual who is capable of multitasking projects in a collaborative environment.
Job includes, but is not limited to: • RNA/DNA isolation from various tissues/cells from human, non-human primate, and rodents. • Targeted gene expression profiling using NanoString or other RT-qPCR systems. • Library prep and QC of samples for use with NGS platforms. • NGS sequencing Illumina MiSeq and Novaseq platforms. • Presenting relevant data and results.
