Position: Test Engineer Location: San Diego, CA Duration: 8 Months
Responsibilities:
Perform testing throughout all product realization (Life Cycle) phases
Analyze test data to identify trends, anomalies and areas for improvement
Prepare detailed reports and documentation of the results
Implement best practices and innovative testing techniques to enhance product quality.
Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies.
Review product requirements FMEAs to provide valuable feedback to design teams regarding testability
Participate in the design of scalable test methods and needed fixturing
Define appropriate criteria for test method validation activities
Create and maintain documentation such as procedures, test protocols, test reports, equivalency justifications
Define sampling plans in accordance with the risk management process
Conduct peer reviews and approvals of data analysis and test documentation
Participate in the design transfer activities by of test verification methods to sustain test engineering teams
Collaborate with external lab partners for outsourced activities (ex., environmental & mechanical stresses)
Required:
Experience with the use of standard measurement tools
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and personal interaction skills.
Critical Thinking Skills
Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. Preference for Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering
Software skills required: MS Office, JMP, Matlab
Preferred:
Proficient in root cause analysis techniques
Experience with statistical analysis and data interpretation.
Experience with CAD
