Position: Technical Writer Location: REMOTE (Redwood City, CA OR Austin, TX) Duration: 7 months (Possible extension)
Note: Once a month on-site at either in Redwood City, CA OR Austin, TX
Description
We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our team and support the IT Operations project tracks within the ISO initiative. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the IT Ops project management team to conduct working sessions and engage with external stakeholders across various ISO tracks.
The immediate focus of this position is to work collaboratively with the Infrastructure and Technology, IT Business Engagement, and Employee Experience teams to coordinate working sessions with various ISO-impacted business units. These sessions are essential for providing coordinated feedback on existing procedures and policy implementations. Your responsibilities will also include refining configuration policies in coordination with GSO.
This role addresses the current lack of capacity within the team and enables a structured two-way feedback process. By doing so, you will play a key role in minimizing the impact of eventual configuration choices and informing high-level discussions and negotiations on ISO controls and their impacts.
The absence of this role poses significant risks to the ISO initiative, as it may hinder the thorough and diligent conduct of crucial processes with the current team resources available. This, in turn, could lead to heightened challenges during the implementation and enforcement phases of the ISO project tracks.
Key Responsibilities: • Collaborate with the IT Ops project management team to conduct working sessions and engage with external stakeholders on various ISO tracks. • Coordinate working sessions with EIT, IT Business Engagement, and ITX teams to gather coordinated feedback from ISO-impacted business units. • Create or revise procedures documentation on new and existing applications, review policy and validate the requirements against procedures. • Review deliverables in coordination with GSO to ensure alignment with ISO requirements. • Facilitate a structured two-way feedback process to minimize the impact of configuration choices and inform high-level discussions and negotiations on ISO controls.
Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology). • Proven experience in technical writing, process thinking, preferably in a regulatory compliance or IT operations environment. • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance requirements is desirable. • Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements. • Join us in this exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of our ISO initiative and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Apply now to be part of our dynamic team!
