Position Title: Technical Support Tech I Assignment Duration: 6 months Location: New Carlisle, IN Shift: Comfortable to workdays/nights/weekends as needed (main shifts are M-F or Sun-Wed)
Job Description:
Responsible for labeling and patching cables to switches and hand off to client customers.
Start to finish server racks.
Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
Responds to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical support.
Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
Require Skills:
May require an associate's degree in a related area and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
Works under immediate supervision.
Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Must Haves:
Fiber cable and CAT5 and CAT6 cables
Needs to be able to go up and down ladders easily and be on their feet all day and lift over 40 pounds consistently
Preferred Skills:
Data center environment experience would be a plus
