Job Title: Technical Operations Manager 
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid – 2/3 onsite per week)
 
Job Summary
Group's Marketing Data Engineering team is looking to recruit an experienced Operations Manager to fulfill the role of Manager, Technical Operations within our Tagging Implementation team. This role will be responsible for managing a team of tagging implementation specialists and supporting our stakeholders with their Tagging requests and prioritization. This role demands a solution-orientated and technical-minded individual who excels in team management, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.

You will be responsible for supporting our tagging implementation team plan and stay on track with bi-weekly sprints, whilst navigating any bugs or urgent requirements that may disrupt planned operations. In addition, you will work as a representative for the Tagging implementation team and work closely alongside the Product and Engineering teams that support our Tagging infrastructure. Finally, you will collaborate with Marketing Channel teams regularly, to ensure a thorough understanding of their business focus, support requirements and the impact of efficient Tagging Operations on their channel's success.

This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to understand the rapidly evolving tracking technologies and infrastructure that power our Marketing Data Sharing, as well as gain insight into our Marketing Channels and how they operate. Most importantly, this role provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on our team of tagging specialists, through your people management skills.

Desired Background
  • 3-5 years’ experience of team management in an ecommerce or tech environment
  • Experience with Sprint Management and/or Program Management
  • Confidence in MS Excel, Querybook, CJA (Customer Journey Analytics), Tableau or other data query and reporting tools
  • Specialty in Tagging or Data Sharing configurations is desirable but not essential
  • Current Agile, PMI, or Prince2 Practitioner Certification is desirable but not essential
  • Bachelor's and master's degree, or combination of relevant education and experience

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills, across all teams, regions, and levels of hierarchy both internally and externally
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to support and influence team members to be accountable and complete work to high standards
  • Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, demonstrate adaptability and deliver under pressure to a tight timeline
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, not afraid to get stuck into problem solving, decision making and improving processes within a dynamic environment
