Job Description:
Seeking a passionate and experienced professional to play a crucial role in developing and validating their innovative mobile medical device applications for both Android and iOS platforms. This role demands a deep understanding of systems engineering principles, strong technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, safe, and compliant products.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Translate high-level conceptual software feature needs and UI/UX designs into detailed, verifiable technical requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive software requirements specifications (SRS) for mobile applications, ensuring traceability to higher-level system and software requirements and the overall software architecture.
  • Conduct thorough requirements reviews using Jama Connect, ensuring completeness, clarity, and consistency.
  • Generate and maintain verification trace matrices and master trace matrices to demonstrate end-to-end traceability of requirements to test cases.
  • Experience in tracing architectural elements to functional elements, ensuring design implementation aligns with IEC 62304, is highly valued.
  • Tooling and Testing:
  • You thrive in a collaborative environment, diving into code to troubleshoot and debug coding problems developers encounter. You are adept at writing sample code and client libraries to assist developers in implementing solutions.
  • Collaborate with software engineers and test engineers to develop comprehensive test plans and test cases for mobile applications.
  • Leverage tools like Jira, TestRail, and GitHub to manage and track testing activities, defects, and resolution.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to software requirements and best practices.
  • Systems Engineering Best Practices:
  • Advocate for and champion the adoption of systems engineering best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Influence quality and regulatory teams to follow rigorous systems engineering principles and methodologies.
  • Remediate and distinguish between design details, user interface elements, and software requirements to ensure a clear and concise SRS.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
  • Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to cross-functional teams, including software developers, test engineers, and regulatory personnel.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience in mobile app UI/UX concepts (Android and iOS), SDK, data platform, design inputs and development.
  • 5+ years of experience in requirements engineering with excellent understanding of INCOSE requirements engineering best practices and/or EARS requirements writing guidance
  • At least 2 years of working experience in using Jama Connect tool.
  • Author Hardware and mobile app, watch app software and System requirements based on use cases, user needs and wireframes, per INCOSE writing style. Develop comprehensive software requirements specifications (SRS) for mobile applications, ensuring traceability to higher-level system and software requirements and the overall software architecture.
  • Develop requirements trace matrices and verification test trace matrices. Trace technical requirements (hardware, software, and systems) to parent subsystems and system-level requirements.
  • • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in systems engineering working on mobile apps or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing software requirements specifications for mobile applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage requirements, test cases, and defects using tools such as Jama Connect, Jira, TestRail, and GitHub.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
  • Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification is preferred.
