Job title: Systems Engineer - IV Location: Nashville, TN (Hybrid 3 days) Duration: 11 months Description:
Will be part of the sort center team.
Will be responsible for designing material handling equipment within the sort center such as conveyor belts and other machinery.
Will be given specific requirements from the facility on what they need accomplished, will be responsible for designing the solution. Can be anything from adding capacity to the site, retrofitting areas for new equipment or helping to rearrange existing equipment within the facility.
Responsible for figuring out layouts of the site and do scope of work for the project.
Will be Writing RFPs, working with vendors for site selection and working on engineering design and hand off to execution.
Requirement:
Up to 50% travel is required for site visits
Project management skills are required, but is not looking for someone with only Project management background. Must have hands on design experience in a manufacturing setting as well.
Heavily weighted towards someone with a design background. Any kind of design (automotive, warehouse systems, manufacturing) would work.
Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing)
5-7 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial designs required.
AutoCAD, Solidworks experience required.
Designing material handlining equipment (conveyors design), how to add capacity or retrofit inbound area for new equipment and helping rearrange existing equipment.
Must Have:
Bachelors degree in engineering
AutoCAD and Solidworks experience
5-7 years experience in manufacturing design.
