WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist for a full-time opportunity with a leading surgical facility in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will have strong operating room experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked extensively in orthopedic surgery.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments
• Assist surgeons during orthopedic and general surgical procedures
• Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before cases
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and the surgical team during procedures
• Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and accountability of instruments
• Adhere to infection prevention and patient safety protocols
• Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases

 

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room experience required
• Orthopedic surgery experience strongly preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

 

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• No weekends
• No on-call requirements
