Job Title: Support Engineer I
Location: Redmond, WA

Duration: 06 Months (Possibility of Extension)
 
Job Description:
Project Client is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and under-served communities around the world.
 
The Role:
  • As a member of the Client Propulsion Systems Engineering team, this Role will monitor and troubleshoot Propulsion hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test capabilities.
  • This includes monitoring the status and functionality of test racks deployed in multiple HITL venues, working with multiple stakeholder teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve disruptions in availability, or bugs impacting recurring tests.
  • In addition to support for existing test capabilities, this role will utilize existing design documentation (examples: bill of materials, layout and wiring diagrams, build and bring-up procedures) to procure, build, commission, and integrate new HITL test assets for internal customers within Project Client.
  • In addition to working closely with the Client Propulsion engineering team, this role will also need to work constructively with customer and stakeholder teams to support integrated vehicle HITL venues, or other avionics HITL test capabilities.
  • In addition to monitoring, troubleshooting, and building Propulsion HITL test assets, this position would work with guidance from Propulsion Systems Engineers to deliver on defined goals and schedules.
 
Required Skills:
Years of Experience:  +1 year
Degree or Certification: Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, or Aerospace engineering
 
Must Haves:
Experience operating hardware test, electronic testing
Safety in lab environment 
Ability to test python, working on command line, Linux, Unix
