Job Description

Job Title: Supply Chain Sr. Associate
Location: Remote
Duration: 1 Year
 
Manager prefers east coast. Candidate may need have to be flexible to account global hours. (Occasional meetings early mornings or later in the afternoon)

Client is seeking a Sr. Associate Supply Chain to be a part of our Global Raw Materials and Device (RMD) Supply Chain group. The Sr. Associate will work from Remote US Location or in Thousand Oaks, CA. reporting to Manager or Sr. Manager Supply Chain within External Planning & Delivery (EPD) within Global Supply Chain, which main objective is to orchestrate network planning for select raw materials and devices in alignment with client planning cycle. The overall goals are to improve demand / supply planning signals to increase forecast accuracy, generate cost savings thru optimized order management and scrap containment, as well as reduce order-to-receipt lead-time. The team closely partners with the Site Procurement departments within the Site Supply Chain organizations and the RMD organization within External Supply, Manufacturing.

The Sr. Associate Supply Chain is responsible for the following:
• Analyze inventory reports daily to anticipate inventory problems and/or shortages, future supply, and logistical needs
• Execute, Monitor, and address issues with PO submission for applicable raw material & device suppliers
• Ensure timely availability of consolidated forecast to RMD Category Managers for submission to suppliers
• Oversight and maintenance of Suppliers’ order confirmations to ensure ERP system alignment
• Supports recovery plans and network allocations in shortage situations
• Support QC prioritization in conjunction with site as needed
• Creates and maintains source master data in SAP and Rapid Response
• Review network-wide master data and address issues with appropriate data owners to ensure accuracy and consistency across sites
• Find opportunities to optimize order management (e.g. order consolidation, order frequency, minimum order quantities, etc.)
• Serves as primary interface with Global and Site Planning for supplier order prioritization as needed
Other responsibilities include:
• Maintain excellent communication lines with all sources of demand and supply
• Effectively engage key partners within supply chain, quality, finance, process development and other functional areas as needed
• Provide ad hoc reporting to support network
• Develop and/or deliver reports, presentations and/or recommendations to executive audiences
• Serve as a Supply Chain resource and/or representative for special projects and initiatives
• Work under minimal supervision in line with client Values and Leadership Attributes
 
Day to Day Responsibilities:

Top 3 Must have skills:
- Systems knowledge (SAP and Rapid Response)
- Prior Planning and Procurement experience
- Attention to detail
Nice to have: previous experience working in cross functional teams
 
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience in Supply Chain
Or
Associate degree and 6 years of experience in Supply Chain
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience in Supply Chain

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management or life science or advanced degree
• Demonstrated experience in a continuous improvement role applying tools, methodologies and change management (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma)
• Demonstrated experience leading product teams.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and establish and maintain working relationships with a variety of individuals and groups
• Proven communication and facilitation and project management skills
• Demonstrated experience in SAP and RapidResponse ERP environments
• Experience in tools such as Smartsheet, Spotfire, Tableau
• Strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to implement and lead sophisticated projects and programs
