Job Title: Sr. UX Research Program Manager
Duration: 7 Months
Location: Remote (Bellevue, WA)
 
Job Description:
The client User Research team is seeking a Sr. Research Program Manager to drive operational improvements for our team and lead scalable research programs. This role will build connections among researchers, designers, product managers, and our customers to ensure device experiences are intuitive, delightful, and providing meaningful value. We’re looking for someone with deep experience in streamlining processes, scaling the impact of user research, and launching programs from the ground up.
 
Key job responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of rolling research programs, ensuring they are well-defined, feasible, and aligned with organizational needs
  • Provide training for non-researchers engaging with research programs and lead education initiatives across cross-functional teams
  • Develop self-service research protocols, evaluate research study plans, and provide guidance based on best practices
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with research programs, proactively developing solutions across operational planning, program documentation, resourcing, and stakeholder relationships
  • Track the status of research projects, communicate updates to senior leadership, and facilitate the application of research insights
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify research priorities and opportunities
  • Run triage meetings and manage request intake
  • Manage 3rd party vendor relationships and maintain research tools and recruitment solutions
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and data security policies across research initiatives
  • Build processes to improve the research team’s overall efficiency
 
Basic qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, operations, organizational development, or related field. Alternatively a degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), experimental psychology, cognitive science, anthropology, or other design/research related field.
  • 6+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience working directly with UX designers or researchers.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task in an agile environment
 
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience developing rolling research programs or self-service research programs
  • Experience performing user research methodology (e.g. surveys, lab studies, diary studies, in-depth interviews, etc.)
  • Proven track record of strategic UX or research leadership and success in driving UX culture in organizations
  • Experience with voice interfaces, artificial intelligence, machine learning, large language models, and/or consumer tech products
