Job Title: Sr. Scientist Duration: 6 Months Location: Des Plaines, IL, 60018 Shift: 8 am – 5:00 pm
Job Description: In this role, a scientist will:
Design/draft verification protocols/records for sensitivity, precision and linearity for molecular based assays.
Develop DOE for studies to support testing of commodities on the Alinity m platform
Have a strong analytical background and can recommend analytical studies to investigation commodity related issues • mine large datasets to identify trends or anomalies, then dive deep to get to a mechanistic root cause
Manage the day to day activities of two scientists The candidate must have:
an MS in Biochemistry, biology, physics, or chemistry (Ph.D. is preferred)
a good understanding of molecular biology (especially PCR) • Experience with molecular assay testing
strong mathematical intuition
excellent investigative data analysis skills Ideally, the candidate would have hands-on experience with:
JMP or statistical software
PowerBI
