Job Description

Role: Sr. Product Owner
Location: On site in Austin, TX, 4 days on site 
Duration: 12 Months ( possibility of extension)
 
Qualifying
The digital product owner will own the implementation and ongoing health of the platform. Own/ manage Technical projects
 
Notes from HM:
  • Looking for someone who can show initiative to dive into new projects
  • Pain point in the project right now /would like to see -More experience in Strategy and data analytics
  • Someone who has worked in a role that is both Product Owner but also experience leading conversations of strategy and data analytics.
  • This role is all encompassing - Day to day will be mostly product owner tasks But will driving strategy and data mystics conversations
  • Someone who has Fintech experience would be great
  • someone who has worked in an office environment is a big plus
  • Would like someone with a little depth of experience than Carson - a little more polished and eager.
  • Worked in with a high level company on very technical projects
 
Day to day/What you are good at:
  • You will be on a talented team of digital product owners, who will own the implementation and ongoing health of the platform.
  • You will create and maintain key performance metrics to drive the channel to performant, scalable future state.
  • You will evaluate new web capabilities.
  • Create and maintain key performance metrics to drive the channel to performant, scalable future state.
  • You will think horizontally to identify and create opportunities for cross enterprise integration opportunities that would deliver an exceptional experience for our clients across our channel.
  • You will execute brilliantly in a deadline-driven environment
  • You will work cross-functionally with leaders in technology, design, business, and compliance functions to ensure vision, strategy, and roadmap alignment
 
What you have:
  • Prior experience as an Agile Product Owner or leading scrum teams is preferred, with a deep understanding of agile
  • Proficiency in dealing with ambiguity in a multifaceted and fast paced work environment
  • Strong sense of urgency and proactive approach
  • Highly organized, outstanding attention to detail, and ability to set and balance to deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as the ability to develop concise and effective communications tailored to specific audiences
  • Experienced knowledge with Microsoft Office Products, specifically PowerPoint and Excel; ability to "tell a story" using PowerPoint
  • Ability to establish relationships and work will with a diverse range of partners
  • Curiosity, positivity, and ability to learn quickly, adapt and thrive in a complex, multifaceted environment
  • A balance of perseverance and motivation to deliver on multiple priorities concurrently; some efforts with abbreviated timelines
  • Sound judgment and ability to identify and advance issues and trade-offs
  • Good understanding and/or experience with financial services regulations is a plus
  • High level of comfort with data and technology
  • Financial services industry background
  • Product management skills running ceremonies, refinement, prioritization, negotiation, stakeholder management, experience making data driven decisions.
  • Undergraduate degree, MBA preferred.
 
Must Have
  •  Worked on / been Product Owner for High tech projects
  •  Working with  digital platforms - Digital shopping experience
  •  Strategy and data analytics experience 
 
Pluses
  •  Prev experience at a Fintech company 
  • Has both Product Owner and Product Management experience
  • Worked on site in an office environment before
