Title: Sr Financial Advisor Location: North York, ON M2J 1P8 (Hybrid - Mon, Tue, Thu in office) Duration: 12+ Months
Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for consolidation of capital financials, including monthly and quarterly reporting financial information relating to Budgets, Forecasts, and Actuals.
Responsible for supporting the development of in-service capital forecasts on a quarterly basis or as required
Responsible for assisting the team in providing active financial support and counsel to Asset Management and Business.
Assist the Supervisor Capital FP&A in providing active financial support and counsel to various teams in Finance, Asset Management, Governance, and Functional Business areas.
Consolidation of monthly financial data and analysis of actual results as compared to budget and forecast.
Consolidation of forecast data from Asset Management and calculation of overheads.
Support the consolidation of the annual budget process, including the analysis of variances and preparation of supporting schedules for various Finance teams.
Provide financial support & analysis on a timely basis to various stakeholders, as required to support their business and strategic decisions.
Develop relationships with Asset Management, particularly with individuals responsible for the compilation and assessment of financial data, including forecasts, with a view to understanding and validating the processes used by them in generating their output.
Responsible for assisting with inputs to support periodic forecasts, the annual budget cycle, and long-range plans.
Provide ad hoc/off-cycle data, reporting, and analysis as requested, ensuring accurate, relevant information is provided for management decision-making.
Ensure financial reporting/tracking is consistent with the regulatory framework.
Support key SOX controls and Audit requirements.
Continual support of the team in the identification, assessment, mitigation, remediation, and management of risk exposures.
Assist in the communication and awareness of Company policies and changes to other departments at GDS.
Assist with other responsibilities as needed for the role.
Must Haves:
University Business degree required.
5+ years of post-qualification experience with business performance analytics-related roles.
Good business acumen and understanding of regulatory environment, financial management strategies, and reporting requirements.
Proven team player, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships.
Strong demonstrated competencies in interpersonal skills, oral and written communications, persuasion, and influencing skills.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with prioritizing work and implementing processes and ongoing process improvements to streamline and optimize work.

Experience working within a Regulatory environment preferred.
Finance-related designation (CMA, CA, CPA, CGA, or MBA) preferred.
Good working knowledge of SAP, Oracle, and Hyperion preferred.
