Spanish Linguist Duration: 8-12 weeks but possibly to extend depending on pilot. Remote 10 hours / week Responsibilities::
Work closely with engineers by providing linguistic expertise and direction for language-specific NLP, data generation, annotation on projects, and/or dialogue analysis and modeling
This includes writing documentation and guidelines, reviewing data and test results, and proposing improvements and new features.
Perform tasks such as data annotation, phonetic transcription, speech synthesis, machine translation, natural utterance generation, grammar checking, ASR transcription, automation, and other NLP-related tasks.
Build a thorough understanding of data labeling conventions and provide support to internal team and external partners.
Deliver high-quality output under aggressive deadlines.
Work autonomously with minimal direction.
Contribute to process improvements to reduce handling time and improve output.
Dive deep into issues and implement solutions independently.
Provide quality expertise to other team members and coaching improvements.
Qualifications:
Idiomatic fluency in Spanish (US) Preferred Portuguese as well.
•University degree in the area of Linguistics; •Previous experience with phonetic transcription; •Good communication skills in English;
