Job Description

Spanish Linguist
Duration: 8-12 weeks but possibly to extend depending on pilot.

10 hours / week

  • Work closely with engineers by providing linguistic expertise and direction for language-specific NLP, data generation, annotation on projects, and/or dialogue analysis and modeling
  • This includes writing documentation and guidelines, reviewing data and test results, and proposing improvements and new features.
  • Perform tasks such as data annotation, phonetic transcription, speech synthesis, machine translation, natural utterance generation, grammar checking, ASR transcription, automation, and other NLP-related tasks.
  • Build a thorough understanding of data labeling conventions and provide support to internal team and external partners.
  • Deliver high-quality output under aggressive deadlines.
  • Work autonomously with minimal direction.
  • Contribute to process improvements to reduce handling time and improve output.
  • Dive deep into issues and implement solutions independently.
  • Provide quality expertise to other team members and coaching improvements.
  • Idiomatic fluency in Spanish (US) Preferred Portuguese as well.
•University degree in the area of Linguistics;
•Previous experience with phonetic transcription;
•Good communication skills in English;
