Job Description

Job Title: Software Dev Engineer III
Duration: 11+ Months
Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

The Client Homepage team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to address accessibility compliance issues, directly impacting our customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Analyze existing accessibility tickets and identify solutions for future versions of the Homepage.
  • Identify gaps in web accessibility compliance mechanisms and propose solutions/enforcement mechanisms.
  • Create a remediation plan to resolve accessibility tickets.
  • Provide status reports at a fixed cadence on the progress of the plan to leadership.
  • Enhance coding skills and gain experience with diverse software applications.
  • Contribute to making the shopping experience accessible for all customers.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Preferred coding skills: Java, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • W3C accessibility compliance experience.
  • Computer Science or equivalent technical degree.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Hands-on experience with automation testing.
Technical Skills:
  • HTML: Yes, Expert, Currently Using, 2-4 Years
  • Java: Yes, Intermediate, Currently Using, 2-4 Years
  • JavaScript: Yes, Expert, Currently Using, 2-4 Years
  • Web Development: No, Expert, Currently Using, 2-4 Years
  • Minimum of 3 years in web development.
  • W3C accessibility compliance.
  • Proficiency in Java.
