Job Description

Title: ServiceNow Sr Business Systems Analyst
Location: Columbia, SC ( Partial onsite - once a week)
Duration: 12 Months (With the possibility of extension or conversion)


Required technologies:
  • Service Now (ITSM)
  • Diagramming Experience (Examples: Visio)
  • Value Stream Mapping is a bonus
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint) for functional requirements gathering & modeling techniques.
Nice to have technologies:
  • Lucid Spark and Lucid Chart
  • Value Steam Mapping
Day to Day:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, gather, document and analyze technical and functional requirements for the purpose of solution design, selection and/or process improvement recommendations.
  • Liaison between the business partners and the IT group to support ServiceNow and provide analysis for systems implementation, upgrade, and enhancement projects.
  • Evaluate business processes to identify and report on opportunities for improvement.
  • Conduct, manage and facilitate system and data analysis to assist the organization with selecting and evaluating tools that best meet stakeholder and business needs.
  • Design ServiceNow modules, workflows, forms, reports, and dashboards to support ITSM, ITAM, ITBM, SecOps, and other business processes.
  • Stay current with IT advancements, ServiceNow best practices, updates, and new features to continuously improve design recommendations, automate manual processes (when appropriate) and modernize systems.
  • Facilitate meetings, training and presentations to gather requirements and relay recommendations to all levels of stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Participates in user acceptance testing and validation of designed solutions.
  • Participates in documenting user guides/training materials to support customer transition.
  • Facilitate test matrices and end to end testing strategies
  • Understand new platform capabilities and applications and conduct educational demos to business stakeholders and technical team members
  • Special projects and duties as assigned

  • Strong facilitation skills with the ability to explain difficult concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Education:
Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other job related degree

Required Work Experience:
  • 8 years of IT business analysis experience.

Degree Equivalency:
  • 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other job related degree

Preferred Licenses and Certificates:
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), HIPAA, LOMA
