Job Description

Job Title: ServiceNow Asset Manager

Location: Chicago IL or Tempe Arizona (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced ServiceNow Asset Manager to join our IT team in a banking environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the IT asset lifecycle within ServiceNow, ensuring accurate tracking, compliance, and optimization of assets. This role requires a strong understanding of asset management processes, ITIL practices, and ServiceNow functionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Management:

    • Oversee the entire IT asset lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal.
    • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of all IT assets in the ServiceNow platform.
    • Develop and implement asset management policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • ServiceNow Administration:

    • Configure and maintain the ServiceNow Asset Management module.
    • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to gather requirements and customize workflows.
    • Ensure data integrity and consistency within the ServiceNow CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
  • Compliance and Auditing:

    • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
    • Maintain accurate records for audit purposes and assist in compliance reporting.
    • Work with finance and procurement teams to manage asset-related financial information.
  • Optimization and Reporting:

    • Analyze asset data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve asset utilization.
    • Generate and present reports on asset status, lifecycle stages, and financial metrics.
    • Propose and implement process improvements to enhance asset management efficiency.
  • Collaboration and Support:

    • Work closely with IT operations, procurement, finance, and other relevant departments.
    • Provide training and support to team members on asset management processes and ServiceNow functionalities.
    • Assist in the resolution of asset-related incidents and service requests.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT asset management.
    • Proven experience with ServiceNow Asset Management or a similar ITSM tool.
  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of IT asset management principles and ITIL best practices.
    • Proficiency in configuring and administering the ServiceNow platform.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications:

    • ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
    • ServiceNow Administrator or Implementation Specialist certification is a plus.
