Title: Senior UI/UX Designer Location: Mettawa, IL - Hybrid - 3 days onsite / 2 Remote Duration: 6 months to 1 year - based on performance and business needs
Job Description: As a senior UI/UX designer, you will leverage your expertise in UI and UX design, WCAG accessibility standards, information architecture, and human-centered design principles to craft intuitive and engaging data-driven multi-channel digital solutions. In this collaborative role, you'll work closely with a team of designers, writers, editors, account and project managers, creative managers, and marketers to create new and refine existing multi-channel content, ensuring compliance with FDA regulations and delivering user-centric solutions.
Responsibilities:
Prototypes: Design user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma for AEM websites, emails, web banner ads, social media ads, and future digital touchpoints.
Design systems: Create and maintain design systems in Figma for AEM websites, emails, web banner ads, social media ads, and future digital touchpoints. Leverage Figma’s tokens, variables, styles, and properties and ensure scalability and consistency across design systems.
Design system documentation: Develop and maintain multi-brand design systems in ZeroHeight, providing visual guidelines and business rules for designers and business owners. Connect ZeroHeight to Figma and share patterns/components with designers and developers for seamless design implementation.
AEM websites: Design high-fidelity prototypes in Figma for health-care professionals and patient-facing AEM websites, understanding AEM component functionality to ensure Figma designs can be authored in AEM. Collaborate with developers to ensure seamless translation of Figma prototypes into AEM websites.
SharePoint websites: Design and maintain internal SharePoint sites, controlling user access and permissions.
Emails: Design and update email campaigns using Knak Email Builder, ensuring accessibility and optimal rendering in email clients through testing and optimization in Email on Acid. This includes verifying dark mode compatibility, color contrast, alt text, and cross-device and email client functionality. Collaborate with developers to bring emails to completion.
Collaboration: Present UI/UX creative solutions to cross-functional teams, engage in real-time design collaboration with creative and marketing leads, and champion UI/UX best practices.
Must Have
Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in design or related discipline; 5+ years of experience working in a creative agency on UI/UX design.
Portfolio: Work samples that demonstrate UI/UX skills, website design, email campaign design and design systems.
Technical skills: Skilled in Figma and Photoshop, with a strong foundation in UI/UX design principles and processes; proficient in designing accessible interfaces that meet WCAG standards.
Soft skills: Highly organized and efficient, with excellent time management skills and a proactive approach to driving projects to completion in a fast-paced environment; demonstrates a growth mindset, receptive to constructive feedback, and able to adapt and pivot quickly to get projects back on track.
Work model: Ability to work on-site 3 days a week.
Nice to Have, but not required
Software: Experience with AEM websites, SharePoint, ZeroHeight, Knak Email Builder, and Email on Acid (You’ll learn how to use this software on the job).
Scripting languages: CSS and HTML.
Pharmaceutical experience: Experience working in a highly regulated environment, with the understanding of FDA regulations and their design implications.
Overtime: Ability to work overtime when needed to complete time-sensitive projects.
