We’re seeking an outstanding Mechanical Engineer with deep experience in aerospace wire harness design to support flight and test systems. This role is ideal for a hands-on engineer who combines strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to execute quickly and effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment.
You will be responsible for developing 3D and 2D mechanical designs and schematics for wire harnesses used in both prototype and production-level aerospace systems, working closely with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Design and develop flight and test wire harnesses for aerospace systems
Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and schematics to support design, manufacturing, and testing
Support harness designs from prototype through production
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, test, and manufacturing teams
Ensure designs meet aerospace requirements including reliability, durability, and manufacturability
Communicate design intent clearly through documentation and design reviews
Track work and design changes using Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or equivalent
Hands-on experience designing wire harnesses for aerospace flight and test systems
Experience using ECAD tools for:
3D modeling
2D drafting
Schematic creation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience working in an engineering environment using JIRA, Confluence, or similar Agile/project management tools
Experience with Siemens NX for 3D modeling
Experience with Siemens Capital for harness design and schematics
Experience with Siemens Teamcenter or other PLM systems
Background working in fast-paced aerospace, aviation, space, or defense programs
Work on flight-critical aerospace hardware
High-ownership, hands-on engineering role
