Title: Senior Frontend Developer Location: Remote Duration: 12 months with possibility of extension on w2
Summary As a Senior Frontend Developer on the client team, you will be a major individual contributor for a major core offering as a part of client. The primary responsibility is to develop new features and make technical improvements. Alongside the team lead, you will provide technical supervision of the other engineers’ work. We strongly prefer the Angular experience because it is an important technology for this product.
As a Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in Angular, you will be responsible for designing and implementing user-friendly web applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop high-quality software that meets user needs and business goals.
The Product:
Our OnVUE remote proctoring system allows people to take exams anywhere in the world. Clients software provides streaming video of the exam taker to the proctor supervising the exam in a secure and interactive way. The client product has grown significantly during the COVID-19 pandemic and is a core part of cliens testing strategy. We are planning for significant investment in the technology powering clients and this role will be key to taking this product into the future.
Work Location: In this role it is possible to work remotely anywhere in the US, Canada, or the UK, but the position requires you to work during core US Central Time Zone business hours.
Duties
Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Angular and related technologies.
Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create seamless and engaging user experiences.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Troubleshoot and debug applications, ensuring high-quality performance.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices in development.
Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative team environment.
Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs and ensure seamless data flow.
Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning and daily stand-ups.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in frontend development, with a strong focus on Angular.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Experience with state management libraries (e.g., NgRx, Akita) and responsive design frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Material Design).
Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Relational databases
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
DevOps workflows related to cloud-based development and deployment
Experience with Continuous Integration environments
Demonstrated technical leadership with an eye toward quality
Software design skills
