Job Description

Job Title: Senior Completions Coordinator
Duration: 12+ Months Assignment
Location:  Orange, TX 77630

Description:
The Commissioning Director will be responsible for planning, supporting and/or implementation of construction project completions and pre-commissioning / commissioning of a variety of facilities, including commercial and industrial installations. This position will be responsible for the tracking and testing for various facilities and completions documentation and verifications ensuring alignment with project contractual requirements.
  • Adhere to and promote company and site safety policies and assume an active role in all site safety activities
  • Lead the review of contractual specification for completion and pre-commissioning requirements of projects.
  • Manage coordination of activities and direct engagement with Client operations and commissioning staff.
  • Engage and manage coordination with the Client’s DCS contractor.
  • Responsible to manage, control and forecast the complete budget for pre-commissioning  / commissioning, including specialty subcontractors, training, and chemicals.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the prime contract and project procedures, and ensure implementation of project requirements, while developing additional procedures as necessary to support the schedule.
  • Manage all aspects of the pre-commissioning schedule including specialty subcontract and vendor training.
  • Supervise tracking, reporting and turnover documentation of projects and ensure field teams understand and implement the tools according to specifications.
  • Lead the review, planning and communication of vendor requirements with personnel performing commissioning efforts on client projects.
  • Lead the development and implementation of commissioning plans.
  • Lead implementation by pre-commissioning team during execution of completion and commissioning activities.
  • Support constructability reviews
  • Lead accept/reject verifications of construction status and completion on equipment.
  • Lead inspection of installed devices and completion of field required setup and verifications.
  • Lead coordination and checkout, testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of project efforts by addressing problems and routine requirements of equipment and devices.
  • Ensure proper documentation of activities is maintained and the defined process is being followed in order to support Burns & McDonnell's record keeping and reporting requirements, including turnover documentation.
  • Lead area commissioning managers, and pre-commissioning personnel in activities required by the Completions and Commissioning department.
  • Lead projects for Completions and Commissioning, including proposal support.
  • Ensure understanding of various testing equipment operation processes and procedures as well as logical controllers and field control systems (PLCs) as integrated in startup procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma/GED and 11 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required or - Associate Degree Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 9 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required or - Bachelor Degree Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant field and 7 years of Completions and/or Commissioning experience Required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Bluebeam and cloud-based software.
Experience with the following systems:
  • Steam generation / Boilers
  • Condensate treatment
  • Air compressors / Compressed Air Systems
  • Cooling towers
  • Water Treatment
  • Wastewater Treatment
  • Chemical loading & storage
  • Bulk material handling[MMA1]
  • Flares
  • Firewater
  • HV, MV and LV power distribution systems
  • Telecommunications
  • Experience with the following systems is preferred but not required:
  • Pellet conveying & loadout
  • Railcar wash/dry/de-heeling facilities
  • Catalyst activation
  • Ground Flares
  • Buildings and Building Systems
