Job Description

Job Title: Security Compliance Analyst III
Duration: 12 months
Location: Remote


Summary:

Main Function of this Security compliance Analyst is to work cross-functionally with teams across Client to coordinate and execute security initiatives at scale, by developing and tracking progress against roadmaps, problem-solving and building processes to enable our work. This person should be curious, eager to learn, passionate about security and have strong verbal and written communication skills. This person will also be responsible for providing tier 1 support if required to support the team.They will assist in designing and developing new areas of support as necessary. This position is best suited for someone that has a passion for gaining experience in broad aspects of Information Security work cross functionally as well as the ability to understand and execute Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) in regards to Access Management and providing Tier 1 Support of other Team workflows and ability to Triage tasks as appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with program managers, security analysts, engineering teams and XFN partners to establish goals and understand scope, objectives and metrics for success.
  • Help demonstrate Client commitment to security within the company.
  • Understand the concepts of access controls and ability to uphold access management principles and commitments.
  • Evaluate access requests and provision access to internal and external tools.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to access management and enforcement tools.
  • Help identify, organize, and remedy excessive permissions.
  • Assist in maintaining standard operational procedures for provisioning access to sensitive data.
  • Understand technical implementation details necessary to manage access to custom built tools.
  • Understand the security policies and protections while being able to communicate them to audiences with varying technical knowledge.
  • Assist with daily activities and functions of the team to maintain policy, compliance, and risk management commitments.
  • Work, coordinate, and collaborate with a globally distributed team.
  • Join an oncall rotation to field urgent and important requests.
  • Help demonstrate Client commitment to security within the company.
  • Understand, execute, and seek to improve Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs).
  • Evaluate access requests and provision access to internal and external tools.
Requirements:
  • Available to work flexible M-F 9AM - 5PM PST sometimes 12PM- 8:PM PST; possible weekend work requirement
  • Passion for Information Security and how client protects its over 2 billion users
  • Basic knowledge of concepts related to Information Security
  • Demonstrate proactive work ethic and ability to adapt to dynamic situations
  • Ability to break down complex projects into concrete actions
  • Ability to present ideas and recommendations effectively to different audiences
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Experience with relationship building and collaboration within a cross-functional team
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with user provisioning and access management processes
  • Familiarity with Standard Operational Procedures (SOPs) - executing, contributing to, and creating them
  • Experience evaluating, prioritizing, and fulfilling operational requests with an eye on quality and efficiency
  • Understands automation and seeks opportunity to implement it where appropriate
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with individuals across various levels
  • Experience with assisting in collecting and analyzing data
  • Ability to collaborate within team and cross-functional partners
Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities:  
  • understanding of security fundamentals
  • access management domain
  • list of teams they have to reach out to, make sure the task is understandable by the XFN teams and what needs to be updated. The candidate has to follow up with these teams to make sure they are complete
  • que based task where they need to review and understand so they can action the task based on SOP’s
  • the que is 24 hours and the teams are in APAC and EMEA to help manage the hours but the candidate will need to work late hours, so a shift can start at 12-8. Some weeks are late shifts and others will be regular office hours- Candidate must be flexible to start or end late.
Must-Have Skills:  
  • Understanding of the security concepts
  • Operations experience, Ability to take on independent ownership and also work with cross functional teams 
  • Project management from a security perspective
Nice-to-have Skills:    
  • Experience with assisting in collecting and analyzing data
  • certifications CISN, CISSP preferred
Purpose/Size of this team & where does this position fit within the team?    
  • Team of 19 but they will be working independently as well, a team of 8 will be working with them more directly
