Note: There may be some overtime required, based on the project timeline and working around production. I would summarize it as an occasional Saturday/Sunday and possibly 2-4 hours over M-F. Both scenarios will be infrequent. Possible that the contractor would have to work on upcoming Holidays.
Position Summary 3 million sq. ft. industrial facility allowing a large variety of opportunities for machining, assembly, test, office, and infrastructure projects. This position provides strategic and technical leadership for plant construction projects. The project’s scope will include building preparation and installation of new equipment. The primary responsibilities include drawing interpretation and managing contractors to meet technical requirements, schedule, and budget. This position will manage projects ranging from $1M - $20M. The span of the overall project is expected to be 24 months. Work is of a technical nature where independent judgment is used, and decisions are made within the limits of general practice policies. The candidate must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Position Responsibility: • Manage Challenging Projects up to $20M. • Lead regular project meetings to evaluate accuracy of deliverables and schedule. • Provide weekly updates to management. • Evaluate options and make recommendations while keeping the budget and schedule in mind. • Direct the construction of plant infrastructure. Evaluate deliverables. • Provide technical assistance and support to manufacturing engineering and operations. • Utilize innovative thinking to solve problems. • Responsible for assuring that documentation is kept current. • Work with UAW skilled trades and/or contractors to complete in-house projects.
Supplemental Job Functions: • Participates in teams and cross-functional groups. • Develop and implements productivity improvements. • Evaluates and implements new technologies. • Performs special projects as may be required.
Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
