Job Summary

Candidate will be working at a client Patient Service Center (PSC) performing blood draws and supporting daily patient service center operations. The phlebotomist will collect specimens from patients across different age groups, follow proper patient identification and specimen collection procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and provide a professional patient experience.

The candidate may also be required to float to other client locations in the Indianapolis area based on business needs.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform approximately 20 blood draws per day, based on patient volume.
• Perform venipuncture on patients across different age groups, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Follow appropriate phlebotomy and specimen collection techniques.
• Properly identify patients and specimens.
• Ensure accurate specimen labeling and documentation.
• Register patients and maintain accurate patient information in the system.
• Process specimens according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient manifests and records.
• Interact professionally and courteously with patients.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow company, laboratory, and safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot routine workflow and specimen collection issues.
• Work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
• Be willing to float to other Indianapolis-area PSCs when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of diagnostic phlebotomy experience.
• Experience performing blood draws.
• Comfortable drawing blood from patients of all age groups.
• Ability to accurately maintain patient and specimen records.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to float to other locations based on business needs.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
